From October there will be 3 new cast members in Hairspray. Phill Jupitus, (Never Mind the Buzzcocks), 80’s pop diva Belinda Carlisle and Sharon D Clarke will join the Hairspray cast on Nov 8th 2009 just as they start Sunday performances. Jupitus will play Edna and it should be interesting to see how he copes with dragging up. Brian Conley has played the role since Michael Ball left and seems to have done well with it.
